Medical Card & Legal Requirements
If you are at least 21 years of age you may self-certify your application in lieu of receiving a healthcare provider recommendation. If you are between 18–20 years of age you are not permitted to self-certify and must include a healthcare recommendation number on your application.
For DC residents, the fees for initial and renewal patient and caregiver digital registrations are currently waived. The cost of a physical patient or caregiver registration card is $10.
For non-DC residents, the fees are as follows:
- 3 days: $10
- 30 days: $20
- 90 days: $50
- 180 days: $75
- 365 days: $100
Per DC regulations, the maximum amount of medical cannabis a retailer can sell to a qualifying patient directly or through their caregiver, in a 30-day period, is eight (8) ounces of dried medical cannabis.

Due to health and safety regulations, the Holistic District does not accept returns on cannabis products once they have left the store.
